Toronto experienced unusually warm weather today, breaking a 65-year-old temperature record. By 10 a.m., the temperature at Pearson International Airport had already reached 22.5°C, surpassing the previous high for November 5th, which was 20°C set back in 1959.
According to forecasts from Environment Canada, the temperature is expected to climb even higher, potentially reaching 23°C later in the day. However, with humidity, it will feel more like 26°C. This unseasonably warm day has caught many off guard, as the typical temperature for early November is much cooler, around 9.5°C.

As the day continues, the warmth will begin to fade. By the evening, temperatures are expected to dip to 18°C. There is also a 60% chance of showers overnight, which will help cool things down further. The rain may persist into early Wednesday morning, but the mild temperatures are expected to stick around. The forecast predicts a high of 21°C for Wednesday, though the cooler weather will return by the end of the week.

Later in the week, the temperature is set to drop significantly. Thursday’s forecast predicts a high of just 9°C, with Friday seeing temperatures rise slightly to 11°C. This sharp contrast in temperatures shows how quickly the warm weather will give way to more typical November conditions.

The temperature shift today highlights the unusual nature of the weather, as the city experiences a brief return to warm conditions before a more typical fall chill settles in.
