Kroger, a grocery chain based in Ohio, just introduced a special ice cream collection to welcome summer. The collection, called Summer in a Pint, brings four fresh flavors inspired by summer fun and beach vibes.
The new flavors include:
- Italian Style Summer Fizz: A blood orange sherbet with candy pieces.
- Fireside Nights: Toasted marshmallow ice cream with s’mores bits and an orange swirl.
- Sandy Shores: Coconut ice cream mixed with sweet and salty pretzel crunch.
- Poolside Tan Lines: A mix of vanilla bean, chocolate, and coffee ice creams.
These flavors are available now at selected Kroger stores but only while supplies last.
Free Ice Cream for Summer
Kroger is making summer even sweeter. The store will give away 92,000 free pints of ice cream to customers. That means 1,000 free pints every day for all 92 days of summer. This giveaway starts on June 20 at noon Eastern Time.
Kroger’s vice president of merchandising said, “Last year, we were amazed by how excited customers were about our free pint offer. This summer, we are making it even better.” He added that Kroger wants more people to enjoy summer by trying their new flavors.
To get free ice cream, customers can download a digital coupon online. The coupon works for one free Kroger Brand ice cream pint, including the new flavors. The coupons will be available from June 20 to July 4.
More Choices Beyond New Flavors
If customers want, they can also use the coupon for Kroger’s classic ice cream flavors. These include popular choices like Deluxe Orange Cream, Deluxe Rocky Road, and Deluxe Cookies and Cream. Each tub costs $2.99 for 48 ounces.
Where the Offer Works
The free ice cream offer is available in almost all U.S. states. However, it excludes California, Colorado, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Nevada. It also doesn’t work at some specific Kroger stores like Metro Market, Pick ’n Save, Mariano’s, and QFC.
Why This Matters
Summer and ice cream go hand in hand. Kroger’s new flavors and free pint offer give people a fun way to cool down and enjoy the season.
