On Wednesday night, a man was taken to the hospital in Montreal's west end after being shot multiple times while parking his vehicle, as reported by the police. The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of Céline-Marier and Bois-Franc Road in the Saint-Laurent borough, prompting several 911 calls alerting Montreal police to gunshots in the area.

Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered the victim, who remained conscious despite sustaining gunshot wounds to his upper body. The injured individual was promptly transported to the hospital, with authorities expressing that there was no immediate concern for his life.

Preliminary information relayed to the police suggests that a suspect vehicle approached the victim during the parking maneuver, with one or more individuals from the vehicle opening fire and striking him multiple times. In an attempt to evade the assailants, the victim ended up crashing his vehicle into a tree within the yard of a nearby house, according to Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson for the police.
