Wendy's is offering a limited-time deal for its customers this holiday season, giving them the chance to enjoy one of its popular menu items at a discounted price. Starting Monday, November 18, customers can get a spicy chicken sandwich for just $3.99, exclusively through the Wendy's app. This special offer will be available until December 29, making it a perfect way to spice up the holiday season.
The spicy chicken sandwich features a tender chicken breast marinated and breaded in a blend of peppers and spices, giving it a distinctive fiery kick. It's then topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise, providing a balanced contrast to the heat of the spices. According to Wendy's, the sandwich is a fan favorite, and the discount makes it even more enticing for those looking to enjoy a flavorful meal without breaking the bank.

To take advantage of this deal, customers must use the Wendy's app, where the offer is available for a limited time at participating locations. Those interested in the deal can find all the details in the app, where they can place their order and enjoy the spicy chicken sandwich at the discounted price.

However, Wendy's is not only focusing on deals but also on improving its business operations. In a separate announcement, the company revealed plans to close 140 underperforming locations by the end of the year. These closures are part of a larger strategy to modernize the brand and improve profitability. Wendy's is moving away from outdated locations that are bringing in significantly lower sales and replacing them with more profitable ones. These new locations are expected to generate higher revenues, with some averaging $2 million in annual sales, compared to the $1.1 million of the locations being closed.

The fast food chain is also expanding its reach with plans to open between 250 and 300 new locations in 2024. While the closures and openings will balance each other out in terms of net growth, the company is aiming to strengthen its system by focusing on newer, more profitable locations. Wendy’s executives highlighted that some of the brand’s 55-year-old restaurants have become outdated, which is why they are being replaced.

This restructuring effort is already underway, with Wendy's having launched around 500 new locations over the past two years. The company’s leadership believes these changes will lead to long-term growth and strengthen Wendy's presence in the competitive fast food market.
