Intact Financial Corp., a leading property and casualty insurance company, has announced a new multi-year partnership with the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). As part of the agreement, Intact will become the official home and auto insurance partner for the league's three Canadian teams: Montreal Victoire, Ottawa Charge, and Toronto Sceptres.
The partnership highlights Intact’s commitment to supporting women's sports, especially in the realm of hockey. Through this collaboration, Intact plans to help broaden access to the game for young people who may not otherwise have the chance to experience hockey. The company aims to increase opportunities for girls to get involved in the sport and make it more accessible to underserved youth across Canada.

The financial details of the agreement have not yet been made public, but both parties are excited about the potential to grow the PWHL’s presence, starting with its second season, which kicks off this Saturday. This partnership also marks a significant step forward in the promotion of women’s professional sports in Canada, reinforcing the importance of diversity and inclusion in athletics.

Intact Financial's involvement will provide key support to the league, helping the PWHL further its mission to offer high-quality professional women’s hockey. In addition to supporting the teams, Intact’s sponsorship will likely lead to expanded coverage of the games, giving more fans a chance to connect with the teams and athletes.

The partnership reflects a growing trend in sports sponsorship, with more companies recognizing the value of supporting women’s athletics. Intact’s partnership with the PWHL is not just about promoting a brand, but also about creating lasting change and fostering an environment where female athletes have the same opportunities as their male counterparts.

With the league’s second season just beginning, the partnership with Intact comes at a pivotal moment in the development of women’s professional hockey. Fans can look forward to a season full of exciting matches as the league grows and continues to make its mark on the sports world.
