Grocery shopping can feel like a chore, but discovering exciting new products makes it more enjoyable. Each year, shoppers get a chance to highlight their favorites through the Product of the Year awards, which recognize the best consumer goods based on votes from 40,000 American shoppers.

This annual competition, running globally for over 30 years, ranks top products across 42 categories, including food, beverages, and household essentials. The 2025 results reflect a clear trend: consumers are drawn to trusted brands offering great value.

Amid rising grocery prices, budget-conscious shoppers are looking for quality at a reasonable cost. This year, Aldi, a grocery chain known for its affordable yet high-quality products, dominated the food category with eight winning items.

From snacks to main courses, Aldi products stood out. Some of the winners include:

  • Best Frozen Entrée: Kirkwood Chicken Nuggets
  • Best Dessert: Specialty Premium Cookie Dough
  • Best Healthy Beverage: Summit Popz Prebiotic Sodas
  • Best Meal Ingredient: Park Street Deli Pickle Chips
  • Best Wine: Specially Selected Sparkling Brut Rosé

Aldi’s exclusive Sparkling Brut Rosé, priced under $12, was voted the best wine of the year. This choice reflects a growing preference for affordable yet high-quality options.

While Aldi dominated, several other brands also made the list.

  • Best Bakery Side Dish: Texas Roadhouse Mini Rolls (available at Walmart)
  • Best Cheese: Organic Valley Spicy Cheddar
  • Best Sweet Snack: Nutella B-Ready
  • Best Coffee: Folgers Instant Flavored Latte Mix

Folgers' coffee mix stood out among popular brands, proving that affordability and taste can go hand in hand.

The key factors influencing shoppers' choices were affordability and reliability. According to Mike Nolan, CEO of Product of the Year Management, this year’s winners “demonstrate innovation while earning consumer trust.”

As grocery costs continue to rise, customers are prioritizing budget-friendly options without compromising on taste or quality. Aldi’s success in multiple categories highlights the growing demand for store-brand products that rival premium brands in quality.

With millions of shoppers looking for great deals, this year’s awards confirm that affordability and quality remain top priorities. Aldi’s success proves that excellent products don’t have to come with a high price tag. If you’re searching for delicious, wallet-friendly grocery items, Aldi’s award-winning selections are worth adding to your cart.
