Selena Gomez stole the spotlight at the Oscars with her elegant old-Hollywood-inspired look. The actress and singer arrived in a breathtaking custom-made Ralph Lauren gown, featuring off-the-shoulder sleeves and a striking lattice design. The dress was adorned with over 16,000 glass drops and hand-sewn Rosemont crystals, creating a shimmering ombré effect in soft pink tones.
A team of 12 skilled artisans from Italy crafted the masterpiece, meticulously airbrushing each piece of glass for the perfect finish. Every movement of the gown sparkled under the lights, making it one of the most talked-about looks of the evening. Gomez paired the dress with a chic wavy bob, a nude-peach lip, and dazzling diamond jewelry, including a stunning choker and drop earrings.
Her stylist, Erin Walsh, shared that the look was inspired by Italian screen legend Sophia Loren. To achieve the perfect vintage Hollywood aesthetic, they even consulted the tailor who once worked with Loren. The goal was to bring "movie star magic" to the Oscars red carpet, and Gomez certainly delivered.

The night was filled with glamorous, crystal-embellished gowns. Doja Cat dazzled in a Swarovski gown featuring over one million crystals during a tribute to James Bond. Lily-Rose Depp wore a striking black Chanel dress with intricate embroidery, including 191,000 sequins, pearls, and crystals. Ariana Grande also turned heads in a Schiaparelli gown covered in 190,000 rhinestones, sequins, and cut beads. Blush pink shades were another trend on the red carpet, with many stars opting for soft pastel hues.
Gomez arrived at the event with her fiancé, Benny Blanco, before taking the stage to co-present the Best Documentary Short Film and Best Documentary Feature awards alongside Samuel L. Jackson. Her film, Emilia Perez, was a strong contender at the Oscars, earning 13 nominations, including Best Picture. While it didn’t take home the top prize, the film won two awards—Zoe Saldaña for Best Supporting Actress and "El Mal" for Best Original Song.
Throughout the awards season, Gomez has been praised for her impeccable fashion choices. Just a week earlier, she made waves at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in a stunning Celine gown. At the Golden Globes in January, she wowed in a pale blue Prada dress, describing it as "Cinderella meets Jackie O."
Gomez’s Oscars look further cemented her status as a style icon, effortlessly blending classic Hollywood elegance with modern glamour.
