A popular snack sold at Costco has been recalled due to safety concerns. The USDA has issued a recall for Chomps beef and turkey sticks after reports of metal contamination.

What You Need to Know

Idaho Smokehouse Partners, based in Shelley, Idaho, has recalled about 29,541 pounds of Chomps beef and turkey sticks. The recall was announced after two customers reported finding pieces of metal in the product.

Each stick weighs 1.15 ounces, meaning nearly 411,000 individual snack sticks are affected. These products were sold in 22 states, including Ohio and Kentucky.

Details of the Recalled Products

The affected products include:

  • Chomps Original Beef 12-Count Pouch
    • Lot Codes: 25016, 25017, 25018, 25020, 25021
    • UPC: 856584004763 (pouch), 856584004183 (stick)
  • Chomps Original Beef 8-Count Pouch
