Coffee lovers have a reason to smile today. On April 1, Dunkin’ is giving away a million free coffees, and no, it’s not an April Fools’ joke. The offer is available to Dunkin’ Rewards members throughout the day while supplies last. Customers can enjoy any size coffee—hot, iced, or cold brew—without spending a penny.

“To claim your free coffee, just enter the promo code ‘ThisIsNotAJoke’ in the Dunkin’ app when placing your order,” a spokesperson explained. The deal is exclusive to app users and is only valid for today. So, if you want to grab your free cup, you’ll need to act fast.

Dunkin’ says they wanted to offer something real on a day filled with pranks. “At Dunkin’, we know trust issues run high on April Fools’ Day, so we’re skipping the pranks and delivering what our guests can always count on—great coffee,” the spokesperson added.

In recent years, Dunkin’ has pulled its share of April Fools’ stunts. Last year, they jokingly announced a name change to just “Donuts,” a playful twist on their previous rebranding. Though it was only a prank, customers still got a sweet deal with triple rewards points on doughnut purchases.

This year, however, they’re keeping it simple. Free coffee is their way of spreading some genuine joy. Unlike other brands that often use April 1 for wild and fake product launches, Dunkin’ is using the day to reward its loyal customers.

If you want to get your free coffee, here’s how:

  1. Download the Dunkin’ app.
  2. Sign up for Dunkin’ Rewards if you’re not already a member.
  3. Enter the promo code “ThisIsNotAJoke” and place your order.

The offer is only valid while supplies last, so coffee lovers are encouraged to claim their free cup early.
