Kate Hudson and T.J Osborne of Brothers Osborne perform on the Mane Stage during Stagecoach Music Festival
Kate Hudson delighted fans with an unexpected performance at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, California, this past weekend. The 46-year-old actress joined country duo Brothers Osborne for a lively and stylish appearance that left the crowd buzzing.
Wearing a stunning boho-inspired outfit from Ulla Johnson’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Kate brought both energy and elegance to the stage. Her sheer black dress, decorated with delicate polka dots, featured a high neckline tied with a pussybow. The dress’s flowing, tiered skirt and airy sleeves added to its graceful silhouette.
Layered over a lace leotard, the look was completed with classic black cowboy boots, a matching cowboy hat, and eye-catching gold statement earrings. Kate’s blonde hair was styled into soft, romantic waves by celebrity stylist Marcus Francis. Her makeup glowed with a shimmered eye, flushed cheeks, and a glossy pink lip.
Hudson shared her excitement on Instagram, posting behind-the-scenes photos and writing,
“This Mama got to put on her fancy Cowboygirl hat (what I called a Cowboy hat when I was 4 years old and never went back) and sing with my new favorite humans [Brothers Osborne]. Love these brothers so much! What a fun night!”
A First Look at “Song Sung Blue”
Kate’s Stagecoach cameo came shortly after she dropped a sneak peek of her upcoming film, Song Sung Blue. The film stars Hudson alongside Hugh Jackman and follows a husband-and-wife duo who perform as a Neil Diamond tribute act.
Hudson plays Claire Sardina, one half of the musical couple. The film is based on a 2008 documentary about the real-life tribute band led by Mike and Claire Sardina in Milwaukee.
Set to hit theaters this Christmas, the film promises nostalgic charm and heartfelt performances. On Instagram, Kate shared a still from the movie. The image captures her and Jackman at a keyboard, looking ready to dazzle. Kate rocks a '70s-style perm and a glittery red outfit, while Jackman wears a sparkling black shirt and sports a voluminous bob haircut.
The actress wrote in her caption,
“Loved every second making this beautiful film, working with the most lovely work husband you could ask for, @thehughjackman, singing the iconic songs of Neil Diamond, led by our wonderful director @mybrewtube. More love notes for everyone involved to come… but right now I am just so excited to share with you that we have a release date — Song Sung Blue — only in theaters this Christmas.”
A Year Full of Music and Movies
Kate Hudson is clearly embracing both her musical side and her passion for acting this year. Her surprise performance at Stagecoach marked a fun crossover into country music territory, while her upcoming film brings her back to the big screen in a heartfelt role tied to her love for singing.
Whether dazzling in designer threads at a music festival or channeling vintage glam for a movie set, Hudson continues to captivate fans with her style, talent, and energy.
And with Song Sung Blue arriving this holiday season, audiences have plenty to look forward to from the ever-versatile star.
