Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for several areas of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This advisory affects northern Durham, northern York regions, and Caledon. The weather agency warns that temperatures are expected to drop close to freezing overnight and early Friday morning in these areas.

Temperature Drop Expected

Temperatures will fall drastically overnight, reaching near freezing in certain areas. In Toronto, however, temperatures will only dip to 3°C, reducing the risk of frost in the city. Still, the advisory suggests that people should cover their plants, especially those in areas more prone to frost.

Sunny Days Ahead

Although temperatures will be very cold at the start of Friday, the weather will warm up quickly. Environment Canada forecasts a high of 16°C later in the day, with sunny skies. This shift will bring relief from the cold temperatures.

Weekend Warmth

The weather will continue to improve over the weekend. Saturday will see sunny skies and a high of 19°C, while Sunday is expected to be a little cooler with a high of 17°C.

Warm Weather Next Week

The warm trend will continue into Monday. Environment Canada predicts a summer-like high of 25°C for the GTA, making it feel like a significant shift from the recent chill.
