Country superstar Shania Twain will soon take the stage at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival in Prince Edward Island. But before singing a single note, she’s made a big impact off-stage. Through her foundation, she has donated $25,000 to the West Prince Caring Cupboard, a food bank helping local families for over 30 years.

Helping families in need
The donation comes at a crucial time. The food bank serves around 16,000 people in the West Prince region. Barb Ramsay-Desroches, president of the board, called the donation “out of this world.” She added that the money will allow them to buy more fresh food items like milk, cheese, and bread—items often missing from the shelves.

A message from the heart
Twain shared her reason for the donation in a touching statement: “True strength in communities comes from looking out for one another. No one should have to go without the food they deserve, and together, we can make sure that doesn’t happen.”

Organizers appreciate the gesture
Ben Murphy, CEO of Whitecap Entertainment, said Twain’s kindness reflects the spirit of the music festival and the community. “People were excited to see Shania before… and I think now even more,” he said. “Anytime an artist gets involved with the community is so amazing and Shania doing it at such a level is even more meaningful.”

Volunteers grateful and inspired
The West Prince Caring Cupboard is run entirely by volunteers. Ramsay-Desroches said the donation means a lot to the team. “It really comes from the heart,” she said. “I believe this donation from Shania Twain is something that’s really coming from her heart too. We feel very blessed that she selected our organization.”

Festival set to draw big crowd
The Cavendish Beach Music Festival runs from July 10 to 12 and is expected to attract thousands of fans. Twain, a Canadian music legend, is one of the biggest names performing this year.

Local impact, lasting impression
Twain’s act of giving has already made a difference before the first guitar strum hits the stage. For families relying on food banks, this support brings more than just meals—it brings hope.
