Toronto police are offering a $50,000 reward for any new information about Nicole Morin. She was just eight years old when she vanished on July 30, 1985. Officers announced the reward outside the same apartment building where she was last seen.

Nicole lived in an apartment in Etobicoke. On that summer morning, she planned to go swimming with a friend. Around 11 a.m., she left her apartment but never reached her destination. No one has seen or heard from her since.

One of the City’s Biggest Searches

Detective Sergeant Steve Smith spoke during the press event. He said this was one of the largest searches in Toronto’s history. “We’ve done everything we could,” he added. But despite their efforts, Nicole was never found.

Police searched apartments, parks, and nearby buildings. They also questioned many people. Still, no strong leads came in. Over time, the case went cold, but the police never gave up.

Updated Photo Shows Nicole as an Adult

Police shared an updated age-progressed photo of Nicole. Experts created the image to show how she might look today at 48 years old. This image could help people recognize her if she is still alive.

Investigators hope the image and reward will bring in fresh tips. “All it takes is one person to remember something,” Smith said.

Family Still Waiting for Answers

Nicole’s family has waited 40 years without answers. They still hope to learn what happened to her. Police say Nicole’s case deeply affected the community, and many people still remember her.

Detectives believe someone out there knows something. They are asking anyone with even a small piece of information to speak up.

$50,000 Reward Now Available

The police are now offering a $50,000 reward. This money will go to anyone who can provide information that leads to Nicole’s location. The reward shows how serious police are about solving this case, even decades later.

“This case has never been forgotten,” said Smith. “We still want to bring Nicole home.”

Anyone with information can contact the police directly. Officers will handle tips carefully and privately.

Call for Public Help

Detectives say public help is key in long-term cases like this. They ask people to think back to that day in 1985. Any detail, no matter how small, could be important now.

Police believe someone saw something or knows something they haven’t shared. They hope the reward encourages people to come forward, even after all these years.
