To honour Canada’s veterans and active-duty service members, Red Lobster will offer a free Veterans Shrimp & Chips meal on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The gesture aims to show appreciation for the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have served the country.

The special meal includes Walt’s Favourite Shrimp — six hand-breaded, butterflied shrimp, fried to a golden crisp and served with cocktail sauce, crispy Chesapeake fries, and fresh coleslaw. The offer is available for dine-in only at participating Red Lobster locations across Canada and the United States.

A Meal of Gratitude

This one-day promotion invites veterans and current members of the military to enjoy a complimentary meal simply by presenting proof of service. It’s a small way for the restaurant to thank those who have dedicated their lives to serving their country.

“Red Lobster is proud to show our appreciation to the men and women who have protected our freedoms,” the company said in its announcement. “We are honoured to serve those who have served us.”

The offer will run all day on November 11, aligning with Remembrance Day ceremonies and observances across the country.

Everyday Support for Military Members

Beyond this annual gesture, Red Lobster supports the military community throughout the year. The restaurant chain offers a 10% discount on dine-in meals for all veterans and active-duty personnel who show valid military identification or proof of service.

This ongoing discount allows service members to enjoy savings any time they dine in, reflecting the company’s continued commitment to Canada’s military families.

A Longstanding Tradition of Giving Back

Red Lobster’s annual Remembrance Day offer has become a small but meaningful tradition. Many veterans look forward to this meal as a warm and welcoming way to commemorate the day. The shrimp and chips plate, though simple, serves as a reminder that gratitude can be expressed through shared food and community.

Guests often say they appreciate not only the free meal but the recognition it represents. For many, it’s less about the food itself and more about being remembered and thanked.

Important Details for Guests

To receive the complimentary meal, guests must show valid proof of service — such as a military ID, veteran card, or discharge papers. The offer applies to one meal per person and includes six shrimp, fries, and coleslaw. Drinks, taxes, and gratuities are not included.

The offer cannot be substituted, modified, or combined with other discounts. Red Lobster encourages guests to visit early, as Remembrance Day often draws large crowds.
