Domino’s marks its 65th birthday this month and celebrates with a chocolate giveaway. The pizza chain offers three free Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes to anyone who places an order of at least $10. The cakes come filled with warm fudge and remain one of the chain’s most popular desserts.

"In honor of our birthday, we decided there was only one way to celebrate – by sharing some delicious, oven-baked goodness with our customers," said Joe Jordan, Domino's chief operating officer and president. "There would be no Domino's without its loyal customers, so we hope they join us in celebrating the last 65 years with this sweet treat of a deal."

The offer runs through the rest of December and gives customers an easy way to enjoy a dessert with any meal. Many families choose the cakes as an add-on to pizzas, wings, or pasta dishes, making this deal especially appealing during the busy holiday season.

A Fresh Look for a Milestone Year

This birthday celebration comes as Domino’s unveils a new look. The company updates its branding with brighter colours, stronger lettering, and a playful twist that adds a small “mmm” to its name in certain designs. The update aims to reflect the comfort and flavour that customers associate with the brand.

Domino’s opened its first store in Ypsilanti, Michigan, in 1960. Since then, the company has grown to more than 14,600 locations worldwide. The anniversary highlights decades of expansion, customer loyalty, and steady growth in both delivery and pickup options.

How to Claim the Free Lava Cakes

Customers can redeem the birthday deal by placing an online order of at least $10. The code “HAPPYBDAY” must be entered at checkout to activate the offer. The promotion runs from December 8 to December 22, giving people nearly two weeks to take advantage of the treat.

The cakes arrive warm, with a crisp outer shell and rich chocolate inside. Many customers enjoy them after a meal, while others choose them as a snack during gatherings or holiday events. With the offer running during December, the timing suits families looking for easy takeout options during the busy season.

A Celebration of Customer Loyalty

The company emphasizes that the birthday deal serves as a thank-you to longtime supporters. Domino’s leaders highlight the importance of customers in the brand’s growth, from its small beginnings to its international presence. This month’s promotion adds a fun way for customers to take part in the anniversary.

The pizza chain continues to introduce seasonal deals and menu updates, but this birthday promotion stands out because of its simplicity. A small minimum purchase and a free dessert give customers an easy excuse to enjoy a meal at home.

Looking Back at 65 Years

Over the years, Domino’s built a reputation for quick service and familiar flavours. The updated branding and birthday celebration show the company’s focus on staying fresh while honouring its history. With new colours, new designs, and a classic dessert giveaway, Domino’s aims to blend nostalgia with modern style.
