Heidi Klum turned heads at the 2026 Grammy Awards with a daring nude latex dress that left little to the imagination. The fitted mini dress hugged her figure closely and featured a sculpted shape with a bandeau neckline. Berlin-based label Marina Hoermanseder created the custom piece, which included leather harness details and gold buckles along one side.
Klum paired the look with nude pointed-toe heels. She wore her blonde hair loose in soft waves and chose a smoky eye, light blush, and pink lipstick to complete the outfit.
A last-minute fashion change
Although the dress sparked plenty of conversation, Klum recently shared that she had first planned to wear it the year before.
"A different dress came in," she told People. "And I changed my mind again last minute."
She explained that she felt the bold look suited the Grammy Awards, where fashion often pushes boundaries.

"I thought this is a true Grammy dress because people are a little bit more expressive there with their fashion," she added.
Stylish but not comfortable
While the outfit looked striking on the red carpet, Klum admitted that it did not allow for easy movement. The lacquered, spray-treated leather kept its structured shape but made walking difficult.
"It was very hard to walk in it because it is very hard material," she shared. "It’s kind of like an armor piece, front and back. There’s no slit, and so there is just no give. So you can only do baby steps, tiny little baby steps. That’s why there’s a lot of fun memes going around now of me running around on the red carpet."

The stiff material covered her from front to back without flexibility, which meant she had to move carefully throughout the evening.
A lasting addition to her wardrobe
Klum said she kept the dress after the event. It now rests safely stored away. "In its gorgeous box and back in the basement," she explained.
The supermodel has long embraced latex and leather looks. Over the years, she has worn several fitted gowns that highlight her confidence and bold fashion choices. Stylists often note that such materials demand poise and attitude.
Ellis Ranson, a celebrity stylist and podcast host, spoke about Klum’s connection with the material.
"Latex on Heidi Klum feels less like a trend and more like a signature, and it's no surprise with her figure," she said. "Latex only works if you own it, so even if you can't walk, if you work that red carpet and smile and wave, it can photograph beautifully and exude confidence and power."
Klum’s latest appearance once again shows her willingness to take risks on the red carpet. Even if the dress limited her steps, it certainly made a lasting impression.
