Elon Musk, billionaire and CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and owner of X, stated his intention to prohibit Apple devices at his companies if Apple integrates OpenAI into its operating system, deeming it a severe security breach.
Apple and OpenAI have not responded to requests for comment. Earlier, Apple unveiled AI features and a partnership with OpenAI for ChatGPT technology integration.
Musk criticized Apple's decision, asserting Apple should develop its own AI rather than rely on OpenAI for security and privacy assurances.
Musk had previously sued OpenAI for deviating from its original altruistic AI mission, launching his own startup xAI to compete with ChatGPT. xAI, valued at $24 billion, received $6 billion in series B funding.
