Adele, the beloved singer known for hits like "Make You Feel My Love," recently announced that she will be taking an extended break from music after completing her Las Vegas residency later this year. Speaking to fans at her final show in Munich, she shared that after her upcoming performances in Las Vegas, she plans to step away from the spotlight for a significant amount of time.
Adele expressed her deep gratitude and love for her fans, stating how much she has enjoyed performing over the past three years, the longest stretch of her career. However, she also emphasized the need to take a break and live the life she has been building for herself. She acknowledged that while she will miss her fans "terribly," she needs this time to rest and focus on other aspects of her life.

The Grammy-winning artist became emotional as she spoke on stage, reflecting on the last seven years of her life and the new life she has created. She mentioned that she wants to fully embrace and live this new life, which means taking a step back from performing and recording music. Adele also shared that she will hold her fans and the memories of her performances close to her heart during this hiatus.

Adele's Munich residency, which began on August 2, marked her first performance in mainland Europe since 2016. Her shows in Munich were held at the open-air venue Messe München. Despite a few challenges along the way, Adele's Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which started in November 2022, has been a massive success. By the time it concludes this fall, she will have performed 100 shows in total.

This isn't the first time Adele has hinted at stepping away from the music scene. In a July interview with a German outlet, she mentioned her desire to focus on other creative endeavours and take a break from recording new music. She made it clear that she has no immediate plans to release new music and is looking forward to exploring different creative projects.

As Adele prepares to take this well-deserved break, her fans around the world will undoubtedly miss her presence in the music industry. However, they can take comfort in the fact that she is prioritizing her well-being and living the life she has worked so hard to build. While her absence will be felt, the memories of her powerful performances and heartfelt music will continue to resonate with fans for years to come.
