Aldi launched its first-ever "Charcuterie Chalet" in Chicago on Wednesday, offering a unique holiday experience for visitors. USA TODAY

Aldi has launched its first-ever "Charcuterie Chalet" in Chicago, offering a unique holiday experience for shoppers. The event, which opened on December 4 and runs until December 5, introduces an exciting new way to celebrate the season. The goal is to inspire visitors with a "one-of-a-kind sampling experience" and provide ideas for affordable holiday entertaining.
The Charcuterie Chalet offers a cozy, ski lodge atmosphere, with wall-to-wall charcuterie boards filled with delicious food and drink options. Aldi hopes customers will take inspiration from the variety of boards on display and recreate them at home without breaking the bank. With over 300 holiday items in Aldi’s food selection, there is something for everyone, whether you're a charcuterie expert or just looking for a budget-friendly way to impress your guests.

Kim Brazington, ALDI Certified Cheese Expert, explained, “No matter if shoppers are charcuterie connoisseurs or just looking for budget-friendly ways to impress guests, our holiday food assortment will make hosts the talk of any holiday party.” This collection of items is designed to provide everything needed for a standout charcuterie spread, and the event showcases how affordable options can make a big impact.

On Wednesday, Aldi opened its first "Charcuterie Chalet" in Chicago, offering a festive and delicious experience for visitors.

The Charcuterie Chalet features several boards, each designed to cater to different tastes and budgets. One highlight is the $50 Board, a gourmet charcuterie platter filled with premium ingredients like Appleton Farms Dry-Cured Ham Prosciutto and Emporium Selection Double Gloucester Cheese. This board proves that a high-quality charcuterie feast doesn't have to come with a hefty price tag.

Another star of the chalet is the Chalet Board, a fully edible version of a traditional chalet. Constructed with Emporium Selection Smoked Gouda and shingled with Specially Selected Hard Salami Rustico, this charming display also features decorative elements like Specially Selected Candied Pecans and Stuffed Queen Olives. It’s a fun and creative way to present charcuterie that doubles as a conversation starter.

For those looking for a fresh option, the ALDI Fresh Board offers a colorful assortment of fruits and vegetables, including strawberries, raspberries, mangoes, and peppers, arranged in the shape of the iconic Aldi logo. This vibrant board serves as a healthy and refreshing alternative to the more traditional charcuterie boards.

The Charcuterie Chalet is located at Loft on Lake, 1366 W. Lake Street in Chicago. Although both days are already sold out, customers can still check for free tickets through Aldi’s website. The event runs from 3-8 p.m. CT on both days, giving attendees ample time to explore the chalet.

If you can’t attend the event in person, Aldi has made it easy for shoppers to recreate these charcuterie boards at home. By visiting Aldi’s DoorDash page, customers can find a full list of ingredients used in the chalet boards. Additionally, DoorDash customers can enjoy $10 off a $40 purchase through December, making it even easier to create your own charcuterie spread.

To further assist, Aldi is also sharing QR codes on their social media accounts, allowing customers to easily access the ingredients needed for each display. This way, everyone can join in on the charcuterie fun, even if they can’t make it to the event.
