Aldi is once again making headlines with its new seasonal offerings as the German supermarket chain expands its presence in the United States. Known for its affordable prices and diverse product range, Aldi is now adding to its appeal with a selection of holiday beers and wines that are sure to attract both regular shoppers and newcomers.
This year, Aldi is focusing on the success of its popular advent calendars, which feature a variety of treats including chocolates, cheeses, and alcoholic beverages. These calendars, which often sell out quickly, have inspired the current lineup of seasonal drinks.

Aldi's beer collection for this fall includes two standout choices that were favourites in the 2023 advent calendar. The first is the State of Brewing Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter. This brew from Waunakee, Wisconsin, offers a rich flavour profile with hints of coffee and mocha. Tasting notes describe it as indulgent yet well-balanced, with one fan on TikTok calling it “f---ing delicious.” It will be available from October 4, priced at $8.99 for a six-pack. For an ideal pairing, Aldi suggests trying it with their Specially Selected Milk Chocolate Sea Salt Cashews.

The second beer, State of Brewing Holiday Ale, is a bit lighter, with an ABV of 5.6%. This ale boasts flavours of cinnamon, ginger, and orange peel, and will also hit shelves on October 4 for $7.99 per six-pack. It pairs well with Specially Selected Sweet Jalapeno Chili Chutney, according to the experts.

Aldi is not only bringing new beers to the table but also expanding its wine selection with three new bottles. Starting September 6, shoppers can choose from:

  1. Cremant d’Alsace: This sparkling wine is produced in France’s Alsace region and offers a sophisticated alternative to Champagne. Made from Pinot Blanc grapes, it’s priced competitively while delivering a high-quality bubbly experience.
  2. Willamette Valley Pinot Noir: This is Aldi's first Oregon Pinot Noir, reflecting the growing popularity of wines from the Pacific Northwest. The Willamette Valley is known for producing excellent Pinot Noir, and this addition is expected to be a hit.
  3. Chianti Riserva: Hailing from Tuscany, Italy, this Chianti Riserva is aged for 24 months to achieve a robust flavour. Aldi's direct partnerships with wineries help keep prices lower, offering shoppers a taste of the renowned Chianti region without the hefty price tag.

In addition to these seasonal offerings, Aldi continues to surprise shoppers with unique and eclectic items throughout the year. For September, look out for fall-themed products such as Salted Caramel Cream Cheese, Pumpkin Bagels, Fall Sweet Potato Chips, and Bean Soup Mix.

Although the new holiday beers won’t be available until October, Aldi’s current selection promises plenty to explore. From festive drinks to seasonal snacks, Aldi is gearing up to make this holiday season flavorful and affordable.
