Usher is set to receive the Voice of the Culture Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) at their upcoming Rhythm & Soul Music Songwriters and Publishers event on June 27. This accolade recognizes ASCAP members who have significantly impacted music and culture.

In response, Usher expressed gratitude, highlighting the importance of artistic development and embracing risks in one's creative journey. With eight Grammy awards under his belt, Usher recently concluded a two-year residency in Las Vegas and released his first solo album in eight years. His upcoming U.S. tour, "Past Present Future," is slated to commence in August.

Usher's performance at the Super Bowl halftime, featuring notable guest appearances, received acclaim. His album "Confessions" remains one of the best-selling projects of all time in the U.S., boasting hits like "Yeah!" and "Burn."

Victoria Monét will also be recognized with the Vanguard Award, honoring individuals shaping the future of music. Monét, who clinched three Grammys this year, including Best New Artist and R&B Album for "Jaguar II," has garnered praise for her songwriting and artistry. ASCAP's Chairman Paul Williams commended Monét's resilience and talent, emphasizing her contributions to the music industry.
