ASUS has announced the impending launch of its ROG NUC 2024, scheduled for May 24th. This release signifies ASUS's debut in the compact PC market after acquiring Intel's NUC business. The ROG NUC 2024 offers various configurations, featuring Intel's Core Ultra 7 or Core Ultra 9 processors, paired with either NVIDIA RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 graphics cards.

The base model, starting at approximately $1,728 USD (converted from 11,999 yuan), includes a Core Ultra 7 155H processor, RTX 4060 graphics card, 16GB RAM, and 512GB of storage. For a higher-end option priced around $2,160 USD (converted from 14,999 yuan), users can opt for the Core Ultra 9 185H processor, RTX 4070 graphics card, 32GB RAM, and 1TB of storage. Both models feature a custom motherboard designed specifically for the ROG NUC line, maintaining a compact total volume of 2.5 liters. They include dual DDR5 memory slots and three M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 slots, supporting either an 8K output or a multi-display setup with up to four 4K screens.

The ROG NUC is versatile in placement, capable of being positioned horizontally or vertically. It integrates the ROG dedicated cooling system, allowing the CPU to operate at up to 65W and the GPU at up to 130/140W. Notably, it features a tool-free design for easy access to internal components, allowing users to remove the top cover without requiring a screwdriver.

Connectivity options on the ROG NUC are comprehensive, including support for ROG Aura Sync lighting, a 2.5G wired network card, and a Killer wireless network card supporting Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+) 2x2 and Bluetooth 5.3. Additionally, the system includes a Realtek ALC256 sound card to enhance audio output.

In terms of interfaces, the front panel features an SD Express ver8.0 card reader supporting UHS-I, dual USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additional connectivity options include one Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports, one HDMI port, two DP1.4a ports, a 2.5G RJ45 network port, and a Kensington lock slot for security.

The ROG NUC 2024 represents ASUS's entry into the compact PC market, offering powerful performance and versatile connectivity options. With its customizable configurations and compact design, it aims to appeal to a wide range of users, from gaming enthusiasts to professionals requiring high-performance computing solutions.
