Dolly Parton, the legendary Queen of Country, recently took to Instagram to express her admiration for Beyoncé, the Queen Bey, who has made a groundbreaking achievement in the world of country music.

Parton, who is known for her iconic contributions to the country music genre, shared her excitement about Beyoncé's latest accomplishment. The 78-year-old singer-songwriter praised Beyoncé for her recent Billboard Hot Country number one single, "Texas Hold 'Em," and expressed her eagerness to listen to the full album.

Beyoncé, at 42 years old, has made history by becoming the first black woman to achieve a No. 1 hit on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. "Texas Hold 'Em," a bluegrassy track that pays homage to Beyoncé's Houston roots, has also secured the No. 2 spot on the Hot 100 chart.

Beyoncé's unexpected appearance in a Super Bowl commercial for Verizon earlier this month left fans in awe as she casually announced the release of a new album. "Texas Hold 'Em" serves as the opening track for "Act II" of her album cycle, "Renaissance," which began with "Renaissance: Act I" in 2022. The full "Act II" album is set to be released on March 29, 2024.

In addition to "Texas Hold 'Em," another track titled "16 Carriages" was released earlier this month.

Beyoncé's musical prowess has been recognized with an impressive 88 career Grammy nominations and 32 wins, making her the most-nominated female artist in Grammy history.

With "Texas Hold 'Em," Beyoncé has surpassed the 22nd spot previously held by Linda Martell's 1969 track "Color Him Father" on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

However, not everyone has embraced Beyoncé's venture into the country music genre. A country radio station in Oklahoma recently gained attention for initially refusing to play "Texas Hold 'Em" in response to a listener's request.

Beyoncé's success in country music has undoubtedly stirred up a mix of reactions, but her achievement as the first black woman to top the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart is a significant milestone in the history of the genre.
