In February, Burger King launched its Million-Dollar Whopper contest, inviting fans to come up with the ultimate Whopper recipe. After receiving over one million inventive and tempting entries, Burger King has now unveiled the top three finalists.
The three winning Whopper recipes will hit participating restaurants across the U.S. in November, giving burger enthusiasts a chance to taste and vote for their favourite. Each finalist burger brings something unique to the table.
First up is the Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper, crafted by Fabian from California. This burger features a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty topped with a flavorful pickle ranch sauce, crispy fried pickles, bacon, Swiss cheese, and lettuce, all served on a toasted sesame seed bun.

Next is the Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper, created by Calvin from California. This burger combines the flame-grilled beef patty with a rich maple bourbon BBQ sauce, crispy onions, jalapeños, maple bacon seasoning, bacon, and American cheese, all nestled in a toasted sesame seed bun.

The final contender is the Mexican Street Corn Whopper, designed by Kelsie from Nebraska. This creation includes the beef patty topped with a creamy street corn spread, fresh lettuce, tomato, Southwest seasoned tortilla crisps, and spicy Mexican queso, all served on a toasted sesame seed bun.

Pat O’Toole, the chief marketing officer at Burger King North America, expressed excitement about the contest, saying, “The Million Dollar Whopper Contest was all about taking 'Have It Your Way' to the next level, and we were blown away by the thought and creativity that went into the Whopper creations that were submitted. Selecting just three finalists was no easy task, but we’re confident guests will love these creative, delicious takes on the iconic Whopper sandwich, and can’t wait for them to be available in restaurants this fall.”
Once these finalists are available in stores, it will be up to the customers to choose the winning burger. Diners with a BK Royal Perks account will be able to vote for their favourite Whopper recipe. The burger that receives the most votes will win the grand prize, while the other two finalists will gain recognition and bragging rights.
