Butterfinger fans, get ready for something special! The beloved candy bar is set to launch an exciting new flavor: Butterfinger Salted Caramel. This limited-time offering will hit stores in April 2025, bringing a fresh twist to the classic taste we all know and love.
Ferrero, the company that acquired Butterfinger six years ago, is eager to innovate the brand. Kalyn Flournoy, the senior brand manager at Butterfinger, expressed excitement about the new flavor in a recent statement. "The brand has an exciting innovation pipeline, and we look forward to sharing even more details on how we plan to take the classic American crispety, crunchety, peanut-buttery taste of Butterfinger to the next level with irresistible flavor combinations," she said. This upcoming flavor marks the first significant change to Butterfinger in decades, showcasing Ferrero’s commitment to enhancing the brand.

The new salted caramel flavor is designed to complement the original peanut-buttery taste while maintaining that signature crunch. With this addition, Butterfinger aims to delight longtime fans and attract new ones. However, shoppers should keep in mind that this flavor will only be available for a limited time, so it’s best to stock up when it arrives.

Ferrero acquired Butterfinger, along with several other candy brands like Baby Ruth and Crunch, for a whopping $2.8 billion from Nestle. Since taking over, Ferrero has made improvements by using higher-quality ingredients. They increased the cocoa and milk content in the chocolate and revamped the packaging with brighter colors. This new flavor launch is part of a larger strategy to refresh and expand the brand’s offerings.

Neal Finkler, Ferrero’s senior marketing leader and general manager, shared that the company feels it has laid a strong foundation for Butterfinger. "We’re at a point now where we feel like we have reset the foundation, and we are ready to take off and to continue to start expanding the brand," he noted. This exciting new flavor is just the beginning, as Ferrero plans to introduce more innovations to complement its core lineup and drive growth.

While Butterfinger Salted Caramel is currently a limited release, there’s potential for it to join the permanent lineup if it proves popular with consumers. Fans are encouraged to share their thoughts, as consumer feedback could influence future offerings.

So, whether you’re a lifelong Butterfinger enthusiast or new to the brand, mark your calendars for April 2025. The combination of buttery goodness and salted caramel promises to be a treat that you won’t want to miss.
