A heartbreaking incident happened at Centennial Pool in Port Coquitlam, sparking a police investigation. Authorities are calling it a “tragic incident” and have not yet shared further details.

The outdoor pool, located on Chester Street, has been shut down until further notice. The City made the announcement on social media on Sunday.

Officials Offer Limited Details

The City stated they are cooperating with the local police during this investigation.

“While we are unable to share details at this time, we are supporting the RCMP as they carry out their investigation,” the City posted.

No information has been released about what happened, who was involved, or when exactly the incident occurred.

Safety Not a Concern, City Says
