Chipotle's new Honey Chicken features freshly grilled chicken, seasoned with flavorful Mexican spices. It is marinated in smoked chipotle peppers for a bold kick, balanced with a hint of pure wildflower honey for a touch of sweetness. USA TODAY

Chipotle has launched a new protein option for its customers. Starting Friday, March 7, Honey Chicken will be available at all Chipotle locations in North America and the United Kingdom for a limited time. Customers in France and Germany will get access to the new offering on Wednesday, March 12.

Chipotle Rewards members received early access to the Honey Chicken on Thursday, March 6, through the Chipotle app and website. The company describes this new dish as a perfect mix of smoky heat and subtle sweetness, combining chipotle peppers with pure wildflower honey.

The Honey Chicken is freshly grilled and seasoned with a blend of traditional Mexican spices. The marinade features smoked chipotle peppers that bring a deep, spicy flavor, balanced with the sweetness of real honey. Chipotle highlighted that this combination was inspired by hot honey, which has been named the top trending flavor by the National Restaurant Association’s "What's Hot 2025 Culinary Forecast."

The Honey Chicken was tested in select markets, including Nashville and Sacramento, before being launched nationwide. It quickly became a fan favorite, with customers praising its bold and well-balanced taste.

Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer at Chipotle, shared his excitement about the new addition. "Chipotle Honey Chicken was our top-performing limited-time offer in test markets, and we're excited for guests to taste this bold, new protein with their go-to order," he said. "The delicate balance of heat and a touch of sweet pairs perfectly with our real ingredients prepared fresh every day."

To make it easy for customers to try, Chipotle has introduced a "Most Popular Chipotle Honey Chicken Bowl" on its app and website. This bowl features Honey Chicken along with white rice, black beans, fajita veggies, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce. It contains 880 calories.

The company continues to expand its menu with new flavors while maintaining its commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients. With the rising popularity of hot honey, this new dish is expected to attract both loyal customers and new visitors looking to try something different.
