Canadians receiving CPP and OAS payments can expect their November 2025 benefits to arrive soon. According to the latest government schedule, all eligible recipients will receive their monthly payments on Wednesday, Nov. 26. The update comes as many seniors review benefit changes, cost-of-living adjustments, and concerns about possible delivery delays.

CPP and OAS Payments Coming on Nov. 26

The federal government confirmed that Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Old Age Security (OAS) benefits will be deposited in the final week of November. Anyone enrolled in direct deposit will receive their payments automatically in their bank accounts on the scheduled date.

Canadians who still rely on mailed cheques are encouraged to sign up for direct deposit to avoid delays during holiday mail congestion.

OAS Payments Increase for Fall 2025

OAS beneficiaries will see a 0.7% increase in payments from October to December 2025.

Employment and Social Development Canada spokesperson Mila Roy confirmed that this quarterly adjustment reflects the rising cost of living. The increase means OAS payments have risen 1.7% overall from October 2024 to October 2025.

OAS is reviewed quarterly—January, April, July, and October. Payments never decrease, even if inflation slows.

Will Canada Post Strikes Affect CPP or OAS?

Despite Canada Post’s rotating labour disruptions, the government says no delays are expected for CPP and OAS cheques.

A spokesperson for Employment and Social Development Canada stated, “We are not anticipating any delays with the delivery of OAS and CPP cheques in upcoming months.”

Still, the government urges all beneficiaries to switch to digital payment to ensure secure and uninterrupted benefits.

Other Government Benefits Arriving in November

November is a busy month for federal and provincial payouts. In addition to CPP and OAS, the following benefits will also be issued:

  • Ontario Trillium Benefit
  • Canada Disability Benefit
  • Canada Child Benefit
  • Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
  • Veteran Disability Pension

These payments help millions of Canadians manage rising expenses as the year closes.

As of January 2025:

Eligibility for OAS also depends on income. Your 2024 net world income must be:

  • Under $148,541 (ages 65–74)
  • Under $154,196 (ages 75+)

What If My CPP or OAS Payment Doesn’t Arrive?

If your CPP or OAS payment does not show up on Nov. 26, the government advises waiting 10 business days before contacting the Canada Revenue Agency.

Timely benefit payments are essential for millions of Canadians. With updated OAS increases, steady CPP deposits, and clear payment schedules, November brings much-needed financial predictability for seniors and eligible Canadians relying on government support.
