In a world where few names resonate across generations, Ratan Naval Tata stands tall as a beacon of hope, vision, and unwavering commitment to excellence. The business titan, thinker, influencer, and industrialist, under whose leadership the TATA GROUP excelled and evolved millions of lives, passed away on Oct. 9th, 2024.

His demise has left a void in the global business landscape, but his legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those he inspired. From spearheading Tata Steel and Tata Motors to revolutionizing the IT industry with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Ratan Tata reshaped India’s economy and left an indelible mark on the global stage. 

On October 13, 2024, the Cultural Wing of GSM, Brampton hosted a commemoration ceremony in honor of the late Shri Ratan Tata, the Chairman of Tata Conglomerates.

The program was organized and led by Dr. Dhirender Tripathi, the founder of the Cultural Wing of GSM, Brampton, and associate member, Acharya Krishnakant Ji. It gathered community leaders, business professionals, and citizens to celebrate his life and contributions.

The distinguished speakers paid homage to the visionary icon—  Amarjot Sandhu, MPP for Brampton West, Ramesh Goyenka, President of Hindu Sabha, Smt. Vaidehi Raout Bhagat, Chairperson of Panorama India, Rajesh Kumar, President of Asteria Law, Jyoti Singh, Founder of We Love Digital Marketing Inc., Navneet Sharma - Founder of Cancer Warrior, Sandeep Kumar - Founder of Augmentors, Rakesh Tiwari from Hindi Times, Bikram Jeet Choudhry.

They spoke passionately about how Tata’s leadership transformed businesses into global powerhouses. Reflecting on Tata's ethical leadership, that has set a new standard for corporate responsibility and helped shape a more inclusive business environment.

Tata’s vision extended beyond profits, focusing on long-term value creation that embraced both community welfare and economic growth.

Smt. Vaidehi Raout Bhagat, Chairperson of Panorama India, shared how Tata’s philanthropic spirit mirrored his entrepreneurial drive. She spoke about his deep commitment to social causes, including education, healthcare, and rural development. Bhagat noted how Tata's influence transcended industries, fostering a culture of giving back and strengthening communities across India and beyond.

Jyoti Singh, Founder of We Love Digital Marketing Inc., remarked on Tata’s foresight in understanding the power of technology, pointing to Tata Consultancy Services as a shining example of how a business can transform the world’s technological landscape.


The event also featured stories and personal anecdotes from other speakers, who described the profound influence Shri Ratan Tata had on their professional and personal lives. They marveled at his ability to remain humble despite his enormous success and at his unshakeable belief in the potential of human capital.

The evening closed with a moment of reflection and gratitude for the legendary thinker and influencer, late Ratan Tata’s life. Attendees left the event with a sense of loss, but also with hope, inspired to carry forward the values he championed— Integrity, Innovation, and Compassion.

His relentless pursuit of innovation, coupled with deep compassion for social causes, made him not just a business icon but a beloved figure across the world. 

His influence reaches far beyond boardrooms, touching the lives of ordinary people, from employees to the communities that benefited from his philanthropic endeavors. 

The founder of GSM’s Cultural Wing in Brampton, on the occasion said, His passing is a great loss, yet his ideas and contributions will continue to shape the lives of millennials and future generations.

As the world continues to evolve, the seeds planted by Ratan Naval Tata will keep growing, fueling generations and shaping the future of business and society. His legacy is not confined to the past—it is a guiding light for the unknown possibilities.
