Cynthia Erivo brought a cool burst of winter style to New York City with a manicure that turned heads on the red carpet. She attended the Wicked: For Good premiere with a nail design her longtime artist, Shea Osei, calls “Arctic Bloom.” The look marked a shift away from bright summer shades and leaned into deep blue tones, soft shimmer and tiny floral details.
Cynthia’s nails featured layered blues, hand-painted vines and sparkling touches that fit the growing trend of moody winter beauty. Shea created Arctic Bloom designs for both the London and New York premieres, helping set the tone for one of winter 2025’s most talked-about styles.
Shea explained that she used products from The GelBottle for every step. She said she always works closely with Cynthia to match the design to her wardrobe and the atmosphere of each event.
A Detailed Look at the NYC Design
For the New York premiere, Shea reached for shades named Denim, Riviera, Mayfair, Signature, Daisy and Pearl Chrome. She shaped long, dramatic nails and painted delicate vines, buds and petals across them. She added shimmer in careful spots using the Pearl Chrome shade.

“I used rich and royal blues with some glitter and chrome and I hand-painted all of this,” Shea said. She added that the overall effect stayed soft and feminine, with sparkles lifting the look even further.
Cynthia walked the carpet with co-stars Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater, and her nails matched the high-drama style of the evening.
A Deeper Tone for London
The earlier London version of Arctic Bloom used even darker shades. Shea blended Denim, Bolt and Dramatic to create a deep base. She then added blooming-gel techniques and fine linework with slim brushes. She said she enjoyed using the liner brushes to blend every detail smoothly. The dark tones and precise accents helped the look stand out while staying balanced with Cynthia’s overall outfit.

A Strong Fashion Moment
Cynthia has delivered standout looks throughout the Wicked: For Good press tour. For the first film instalment, she embraced deep greens inspired by her character, Elphaba. At the New York premiere, she switched to bold elegance with sharp lines, rich colours and statement styling.
Her red-carpet choices continue to draw attention as fans wait for the second part of the Wicked film adaptation. Cynthia and Ariana Grande have made each appearance count, offering strong fashion moments ahead of the movie’s release on November 21.
