Marvel fans, rejoice! The highly anticipated Daredevil: Born Again has finally arrived, with its first two episodes premiering on March 4. This revival brings back Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer-turned-vigilante, six years after the original Daredevil series wrapped up on Netflix. If you're wondering about the release schedule, episode count, and where to watch, we’ve got you covered.

Daredevil Returns – What’s New?

Daredevil: Born Again serves as a fresh start for the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). While it follows events from the Netflix series, it doesn’t require prior viewing. The show reintroduces Murdock as he battles both legal and personal challenges in New York. His longtime adversary, Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin (played by Vincent D’Onofrio), is back—this time with political ambitions.

The official synopsis teases a high-stakes showdown:
"Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, fights for justice in his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. As their past identities resurface, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course."

How Many Episodes Are in Season 1?

Originally planned as an 18-episode season, Daredevil: Born Again was later split into two parts. Season 1 consists of nine episodes, with Season 2 set to follow.

Showrunner Dario Scardapane confirmed that filming for Season 2 starts in March 2025, with an expected release in early-to-mid 2026. He hinted that Season 1 will set up major plot points, which will unfold more dramatically in Season 2.

Where to Watch Daredevil: Born Again

The show is available exclusively on Disney+, with subscription plans starting at:

  • $9.99/month – Basic plan (with ads)
  • $15.99/month – Premium (ad-free)

Bundle options with Hulu and ESPN+ are also available. However, Disney+ does not offer a free trial at this time.

Do You Need to Watch Netflix’s Daredevil?

Not necessarily. Daredevil: Born Again stands on its own, but fans of the original Netflix series may appreciate the deeper connections. The Netflix show introduced key characters like Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, and Bullseye—some of whom could return.

For an even richer backstory, you might also check out The Defenders miniseries, where Daredevil teams up with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.

What to Expect Moving Forward?

With intense action sequences, gripping storytelling, and the return of fan-favorite characters, Daredevil: Born Again is shaping up to be a must-watch. As the season unfolds, viewers can expect deeper conflicts, intense rivalries, and surprises that could reshape Daredevil’s place in the MCU. Stay tuned for what’s next!
