Los Angeles police discovered a decomposed body in singer D4vd’s impounded Tesla. People Magazine
Police discovered a badly decomposed body inside a Tesla linked to singer D4vd. The car sat at an impound lot on North Mansfield Avenue in Los Angeles. Officers arrived Monday after workers noticed a strong odour coming from the vehicle. They searched the trunk and found a body stuffed in a bag.
Identification Faces Delays
Authorities said the remains were in poor condition. Investigators explained that decomposition made it hard to confirm the victim’s identity right away. Police taped off the car and launched a death investigation. Officials confirmed the vehicle had been at the impound lot for several days before the discovery.
D4vd Continues Tour
The Tesla belongs to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. He is currently on his Withered World Tour. His next performance is scheduled for Tuesday night at The Fillmore in Minneapolis. A spokesperson said D4vd has been told about the incident. The spokesperson added that he remains on tour but is cooperating with police.
Label Responds Through Lawyer
Universal Music Group, which oversees Interscope Records, directed all questions to D4vd’s lawyer. Reporters attempted to reach the attorney but did not get an immediate reply.
Another Body Found in South Los Angeles
In a separate case, police also found a body in another impounded vehicle on Tuesday. That discovery happened in South Los Angeles at a tow yard near Western and Gage avenues, about seven miles from Hollywood. Officers confirmed the case linked to a missing person report.
Police Say Cases Are Unrelated
Investigators stressed there is no known connection between the two deaths. Police spokeswoman Jennifer Forkish said the investigations remain separate. Detectives continue to gather evidence in both cases.
Ongoing Investigation
The Los Angeles Police Department continues to treat the Hollywood case as a death investigation. No cause of death has yet been released. The shocking find drew attention because of the connection to a well-known artist. Police said updates will follow once identification is confirmed.
