Dolce & Gabbana is breaking new ground in pet fashion with its latest product—a designer fragrance for dogs. Known for dressing some of the biggest names in music, including Beyoncé, Usher, and Christina Aguilera, the Italian fashion house is now turning its attention to making pets more stylish.
The new fragrance, named “Fefé” after Domenico Dolce's loyal dog, is the brand’s answer to a market they believe was missing. Dolce, one half of the renowned design duo, has always been inspired by the “unconditional love” he has for his dog, Fefé. This perfume is a tribute to that bond, and it’s designed to offer a luxurious experience for dogs that are pampered to the max.

The fragrance itself is described as an “olfactory masterpiece” with notes of Ylang, Musk, and Sandalwood. It was crafted by master perfumer Emilie Coppermann. Priced at €99 (about US$109) for 100 millilitres (3.4 ounces), “Fefé” comes in an elegant green glass bottle, complete with a vibrant red metal cap and a 24-carat gold-plated paw, reflecting the high-end nature of the product.

To add a touch of extra luxury, each bottle purchase includes a Dolce & Gabbana dog collar, available in two sizes, with an optional engraved tag. The promotional film for the fragrance features well-groomed dogs in a sophisticated setting, accompanied by classical music and a narrator describing the dogs in poetic terms—delicate, charismatic, and irresistible.

Applying the perfume is straightforward according to the instructions provided. Pet owners are advised to spray “Fefé” on their hands or a brush and then gently rub or brush it through their dog's fur, starting from the middle of the body and working towards the tail. This method ensures that pets receive a moment of scented pampering.

Dolce & Gabbana isn’t the only brand tapping into the high-end pet market. British designer Anya Hindmarch offers a dog poop-bag-holder charm for £135 (US$172), while Prada provides a puffer jacket for dogs costing £600 ($765) and Versace offers luxurious dog beds priced at £915 (US$1,170).

With these new offerings, Dolce & Gabbana is pushing the boundaries of luxury pet products, catering to pet owners who want their furry friends to enjoy the same level of opulence they do.
