Inspired by the popular Dubai chocolate, this shake has quickly become a fan favorite. Packed with real pistachio flavor and a unique texture, it's already one of the most buzzed-about treats at Shake Shack. Courtesy: Shake Shack

Shake Shack is launching its most talked-about dessert nationwide — the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake. After a limited and successful test run in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, this viral shake will now be available at all Shake Shack locations across the U.S. starting June 24.

What’s Inside the Viral Shake?

This limited-time dessert is inspired by the trending Dubai chocolate bar that went viral on TikTok. It features real pistachio frozen custard blended with crunchy toasted kataifi (a shredded phyllo pastry). The shake is encased in a dark chocolate shell that can be cracked open, adding a dramatic and fun element to the treat. On top, it’s finished with chopped pistachios and more kataifi, giving it a rich mix of creamy and crunchy textures.

The shake will only be available for in-store purchases and starts at $9.49.

How Social Media Made It Famous

The Dubai chocolate bar first became popular in the Middle East, known for its shiny surface, layered filling, and pistachio goodness. Soon, videos of people cracking the chocolate, slicing it in slow motion, and unboxing it dramatically began popping up all over TikTok. That trend eventually sparked interest in the U.S. late last year.

Shake Shack caught on to the hype and introduced their version of the dessert in the Middle East this past February. Then, in April, they tested it in 30 U.S. stores. But it came with a twist: only 25 shakes were available per day at each location. The cap made the shake even more desirable, turning it into a limited treasure for dessert lovers. According to Shake Shack, their teaser posts about the shake went viral, becoming some of their highest-performing content on TikTok and Instagram.

What Fans Are Saying

People who managed to try it during the limited launch were seriously impressed. One user on Reddit in Los Angeles said, “It’s one of the best shakes I’ve ever had.” They especially liked that the shake wasn’t too sweet and praised its “wild” texture, calling the cracked chocolate shell and the pistachio-kataifi combo “a perfect match.”

A Perfect Summer Treat

Pistachio is having a moment right now, showing up in all kinds of desserts across bakeries and chains. With the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake joining Shake Shack’s menu, fans of the flavor are in for a special summer treat. It combines a global food trend, unique textures, and a limited-edition feel — everything a modern dessert fan wants.

Shake Shack hasn't said how long the shake will stay on the menu. So if you want to try one, be ready — this shake might be delicious, but it won’t be easy to find for long.
