The Academy of Country Music Awards is turning 60, and it’s gearing up for a spectacular celebration. Set to air Thursday night, this milestone event promises legendary performances, emotional tributes, and major wins—keeping the heart of country music beating strong.

Reba Returns to Host the Starry Academy of Country Music Awards

Country icon Reba McEntire, a 16-time ACM winner, is back as host. Her presence guarantees charm, humor, and plenty of unforgettable moments. But this year, she’s doing more than just hosting—she’s also part of the opening act.

A Grand Opening: 14 Minutes of Country Gold

The show will open with a 14-minute performance titled “Songs of the Decades.” It’s a musical tribute to 60 years of country music. Expect legendary voices like McEntire, Clint Black, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, Dan + Shay, and Sugarland. This segment sets the tone for a night that honors the genre’s rich history.

Keith Urban Receives a Rare Honor

Keith Urban will be awarded the prestigious ACM Triple Crown Award. He becomes the first artist to receive the honor on stage since Carrie Underwood in 2010. The award celebrates artists who have won New Artist, Male/Female Artist, and Entertainer of the Year over their career.

First-Time Winners Already Announced

Before the main show even begins, two rising stars are already celebrating. Ella Langley took home Female New Artist of the Year, while Zach Top was crowned Male New Artist. Both will also perform during the show, marking their official ACM debuts.

Where and When to Watch the Academy of Country Music Awards

Fans can tune in live on Prime Video and Amazon Music’s Twitch channel. The show starts at 8 p.m. Eastern and 5 p.m. Pacific. Viewers do not need a Prime membership to watch the livestream.

Nominees: A Tight Race for Entertainer of the Year

Ella Langley leads this year’s nominations with eight, mostly thanks to her hit duet “You Look Like You Love Me” with Riley Green. Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, and Morgan Wallen are close behind with seven nominations each. Chris Stapleton earned six, while Green and Post Malone have five.

The coveted Entertainer of the Year category includes Johnson, Wilson, Wallen, and Stapleton. Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, and Jelly Roll are also in the running.

A Power-Packed Lineup of Performers

The night will be packed with top-tier talent. In addition to the opening medley, fans will see performances by Langley, Stapleton, Ballerini, Wilson, Miranda Lambert, Megan Moroney, Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson, and more.

Several duets will bring extra excitement. Expect collaborations from the Backstreet Boys and Rascal Flatts, Jelly Roll and Shaboozey, and Brooks & Dunn with Cody Johnson.

Big Names Set to Present Awards

Presenters this year include both music legends and new faces. Blake Shelton, Wynonna Judd, Riley Green, Clint Black, Carly Pearce, Gabby Barrett, Lionel Richie, and NASCAR’s Chase Elliott are just a few of the names taking the stage to announce winners.

With its star-studded lineup, nostalgic tributes, and electric performances, the 2025 ACM Awards are set to be one for the history books.
