Horror fans, get ready! The Final Destination franchise is making a long-awaited comeback with Final Destination Bloodlines, the first new installment in 14 years. Warner Bros. has unveiled a teaser trailer for the film, which is set to hit theaters and IMAX on May 16.
Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, this marks the sixth entry in New Line’s chilling series. The last time audiences saw death’s sinister design unfold on the big screen was in 2011 with Final Destination 5.

This time, the story follows Stefanie, played by Kaitlyn Santa Juana, as she embarks on a desperate mission. She must track down the only person who might be able to break the deadly cycle that has haunted her family for generations. The film also features Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and the late Tony Todd.
The teaser offers a glimpse into the film’s eerie atmosphere. In one scene, a tattoo artist (played by Harmon) complains about being asked to close up shop after a recent death. Moments later, chaos erupts, setting the stage for another terrifying installment in the franchise.The screenplay for Bloodlines was written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, based on a story by Jon Watts. Watts also serves as a producer alongside Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich.

The franchise began in 2000 with director James Wong’s Final Destination, which followed a teen (Devon Sawa) who foresaw a plane crash and saved his classmates—only for death to hunt them down one by one. Featuring Ali Larter and Kerr Smith, the film became a cult classic, raking in $112 million at the global box office, equivalent to around $205 million today.
With its signature suspense and inventive death scenes, Final Destination Bloodlines is set to deliver another thrilling chapter. Fans won’t have to wait much longer to see how fate plays out in this latest horror spectacle.
