Jessie Cave, best known for playing Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter film series, has announced an unexpected career move. Taking to social media, she revealed she is launching an OnlyFans account—but not in the way most people might expect.

Instead of adult content, Cave plans to offer subscribers an immersive experience focused on hair sounds. In an Instagram video, she described it as “very sensual stuff” but clarified that her page will cater to those with hair-related fetishes rather than sexual content.

Not About Sexuality, But a Different Kind of Fetish

Cave addressed misconceptions about OnlyFans in her podcast Before We Break Up Again. She emphasized that while the platform is widely associated with explicit content, it hosts a variety of creators.

“It’s a fetish. Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean sexual,” she explained, making it clear that her content will focus solely on hair-related sensory experiences.

A Bold Move for Financial Independence

On her Substack, Cave shared deeper insights into why she made this decision. She set a goal of running the account for a year, aiming to stabilize her financial situation.

“My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof, etc. My aim? To get out of debt,” she wrote.

Beyond finances, she sees this as an act of self-empowerment and defiance against past judgments.

“[It feels] like I’m doing something naughty, something a little messed up. I like that. Ripping up the good little actress rule book,” she added.

From Hogwarts to Hair Sounds

Jessie Cave made her Harry Potter debut in The Half-Blood Prince (2009) and reprised her role in the Deathly Hallows films. Apart from her time in the wizarding world, she has appeared in projects like Great Expectations, Black Mirror, and Industry. She also lent her voice to Lavender Brown in Harry Potter video games.

Actors Finding Success on OnlyFans

Cave isn't the only entertainer using OnlyFans in unconventional ways. Many celebrities have turned to the platform as an alternative revenue stream.

Singer Lily Allen shocked fans last year when she revealed she earns more from posting pictures of her feet on OnlyFans than from her Spotify streams.

“Imagine being an artist with nearly eight million monthly listeners on Spotify but making more from 1,000 OnlyFans subscribers,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Similarly, The Sopranos star Drea de Matteo credited OnlyFans with saving her home from foreclosure. When her acting opportunities dried up, the platform became a lifeline.

“It saved us. OnlyFans saved my life, 100 percent,” she told DailyMail.com. “I just hope people who judge me never find themselves in the position I was in.”

A Changing Landscape for Creators

With more public figures embracing OnlyFans for unique content, the platform continues to evolve beyond its initial reputation. For Cave, this venture isn’t just about income—it’s a statement of self-reinvention.

As she embarks on this journey, fans will be watching closely to see how her unconventional approach plays out.
