Hailey Bieber turned heads in Sydney this week after stepping out in a striking golden gown from the Versace archives. The model and beauty entrepreneur chose the vintage look for Vogue’s Forces of Fashion event at the Sydney Opera House on February 13, bringing a touch of sunshine to the late-summer evening.
The dress came from Versace’s spring/summer 2006 runway collection. Hailey’s longtime stylist, Dani Michelle, sourced the piece through archival dealer Raffe Vintage. The butter-yellow gown featured a plunging neckline with jewel-lined straps and a fitted mesh bodice decorated with sparkling stones. A jewel-covered panel ran down the centre, adding extra shine under the lights.
From the waist down, soft silk fabric flowed to the floor. A thigh-high slit added drama, while subtle sequins wrapped around the hips in a circular pattern. She finished the look with delicate drop earrings that kept the focus on the dress.
Soft Glam and Sleek Styling
Hailey wore her toasted-almond hair pulled back into a smooth updo. Her makeup followed a soft glam style, with bronze-toned eyeshadow, light blush and a glossy lip. The overall look felt polished yet effortless.
On the red carpet, she shared her thoughts about being in Australia.
"I feel like Australia just feels very chill and very relaxed," she told Vogue Australia. "Everyone here is so nice."
Butter Yellow Makes a Comeback
The pale yellow shade has gained popularity on recent runways. Designers have featured the creamy colour in several spring and summer collections. Fashion houses such as Toteme, 16Arlington, Chloé and Chanel have embraced the trend, placing it at the centre of their seasonal designs.

Hailey’s choice of a vintage Versace piece added a nostalgic touch to the modern trend, blending past and present on one of Sydney’s most iconic stages.
Rhode Expands to Australia
Hailey currently visits Australia to celebrate the expansion of her skincare brand, Rhode. She announced the news on Instagram in January with a black-and-white promotional image.
"Hi Australia + New Zealand," the caption read. "The world of Rhode is on the way. We're so happy to announce that our lineup of curated everyday essentials is coming to Australia and New Zealand very soon. Starting February 12th at 6am AEDT, our complete collection on rhodeskin.com will ship to both countries. We're also incredibly excited to partner exclusively with @meccabeauty in Australia and New Zealand. On February 12th, you’ll be able to shop Rhode online and at MECCA’s Bourke Street and George Street flagship locations, followed by most stores on February 13th."
Earlier that day, Hailey spoke about the brand’s launch while wearing a green Valentino minidress with bow details, paired with suede heels and a jacquard shoulder bag. She also attended the Sydney premiere of Wuthering Heights on February 12 in a romantic black lace gown.
Hailey’s appearance in Sydney highlights both her growing influence in fashion and the global reach of her beauty brand.
