IKEA Canada will once again serve its popular $1 traditional breakfast at Swedish Restaurants across the country on Saturday, February 14. The special offer runs from store opening until 11:00 a.m. and is available to IKEA Family members. Every dollar raised from the breakfast will go directly to Breakfast Club of Canada to help children start their day with a healthy meal.

The initiative combines affordability with community support. Customers can enjoy a low-cost breakfast while contributing to a cause that supports families nationwide.

A Focus on Affordable Living

IKEA Canada says cooking and eating at home remain central to daily life for many Canadians, especially as families manage rising costs.

"Cooking and eating at home continue to play a central role in how Canadians live today," said Rob Kelly, Chief Commercial Officer, IKEA Canada. "This year, we're focused on helping people create kitchens and mealtime routines that truly support everyday life. We know that many Canadians are navigating rising costs and looking for affordable, sustainable solutions. and our goal is to make it easier to prepare and enjoy real meals at home--no matter the budget or living situation."

The company aims to support Canadians not only through furniture and home products but also through affordable food options in its restaurants.

Supporting Children Across Canada

All proceeds from the $1 breakfast will benefit Breakfast Club of Canada. The organization provides nutritious meals to students so they can focus on learning.

"Every breakfast served is a moment of care that helps a child start the day ready to learn, grow, and succeed. Initiatives like this remind us that when a community comes together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. We are deeply grateful to IKEA for their continued commitment and for helping make this impact possible," said Paul Lethbridge, Director, Corporate and Community Giving, Breakfast Club of Canada.

Previous $1 breakfast events received strong support from customers. The return of the program offers families both value and an opportunity to give back.

More In-Store Savings in February

The breakfast event forms part of a broader set of February promotions aimed at making everyday living more affordable.

IKEA Family members can access several limited-time discounts, including:

  • 20% off cooking and eating products, dining furniture, and outdoor dining (February 9–22)
  • 15% off rugs (February 5–8)
  • 15% off cushion covers (February 12–16)
  • 15% off sofas and sofa beds (February 5–18)
  • 15% off LOCKEBO custom countertops (February 9–22)

The company has also introduced an updated Swedish Restaurant menu featuring affordable and nutritious meals inspired by flavours from around the world. A family of four can enjoy a meal for about $30.

All special offers, including the $1 breakfast, are available exclusively to IKEA Family members. Membership is free.

A Simple Meal with Meaning

The $1 breakfast provides more than just a morning meal. It offers Canadians a chance to enjoy affordable dining while helping children receive the nutrition they need to succeed in school.

On February 14, customers who visit IKEA for breakfast will know that every plate served helps support young learners across the country.
