India faces fresh provocations from Pakistan, escalating tensions along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border. Following India’s targeted Operation Sindoor on terror camps, Pakistan has launched a series of aggressive counter-actions. These include drone strikes, missile attacks, and infiltration attempts. The Indian military has responded firmly and decisively.

Civilian Air Travel Disrupted Amid Conflict

As a precautionary measure, 32 airports across northern and western India have suspended civilian operations until May 15. Key airports impacted include Srinagar, Amritsar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Pathankot, and Bhuj. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation confirmed this step due to security threats. Other affected airports are spread across Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir.

Pakistan Targets Schools, Hospitals in Latest Attacks

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi confirmed that Pakistan has targeted civilian infrastructure, including schools and hospitals, in its unprovoked assaults. The attacks were carried out using drones, long-range missiles, loitering munitions, and fighter jets. Notable Indian Air Force bases—Udhampur, Bhuj, Pathankot, and Bathinda—suffered damage. A major missile strike hit Punjab’s airbase at 1:40 AM, raising serious concerns.

Indian Forces Hit Back with Precision Strikes

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh assured the public that India responded with targeted precision attacks. The Indian military focused solely on enemy military assets, including command centers, radar sites, technical installations, and arms depots. The objective remains clear: dismantle terror infrastructure while avoiding civilian harm.

India Denies False Claims of S-400 Destruction

Social media has been flooded with false reports claiming Pakistan destroyed India’s S-400 air defence system. The PIB Fact-Check Unit clarified that these claims are entirely fake and baseless. WG CDR Singh also debunked other misinformation, such as the supposed destruction of Indian airfields in Surat and Sirsa. India has strongly condemned Pakistan's disinformation campaign.

Local Voices from the Border: ‘We Will Not Leave Poonch’

Amid heavy shelling in Poonch, civilians continue to show resilience. Balbir Singh, a resident, expressed his resolve, stating, “We will not leave. We stand with our Army.” His house was damaged, but his spirit remains unbroken. Despite ongoing shelling that has hit religious sites and homes, many locals refuse to abandon their land.

Civilian Casualties Mount in Rajouri

In a tragic development, Raj Kumar Thapa, the Additional District Development Commissioner of Rajouri, was killed in Pakistani shelling. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed the incident during a press briefing. Civilian casualties continue to rise due to indiscriminate firing across border towns.

India Calls for Restraint, Asks Pakistan to Follow Suit

Despite Pakistan’s continued aggression, India maintains a policy of restraint. Officials reiterated that India does not seek escalation, but Pakistan must mirror this responsible behavior. India's focus remains on defending its sovereignty while avoiding unnecessary conflict.

Operation Sindoor: A Calculated and Focused Mission

Operation Sindoor is a significant step in India's counter-terror strategy. By targeting terror camps and critical military assets, India aims to weaken the infrastructure supporting cross-border terrorism. Military experts call it a calibrated response to protect national interests without engaging in all-out war.

The situation at the India-Pakistan border remains tense. While India urges calm and responsibility, Pakistan’s actions suggest otherwise. The coming days will be crucial as both nations balance military preparedness with diplomatic pressure. Stay tuned for verified updates.
