Brandon Ingram delivered a season-high 37 points, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 110-99 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night. Scottie Barnes contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds, helping Toronto extend their winning streak to eight games.

Raptors Dominate the Cavaliers

Toronto has now won 12 of their last 13 games, including two consecutive wins over Cleveland. The Raptors completed a season sweep of the Cavaliers for the first time since 2019-20.

Sandro Mamukelashvili added 12 points, while Immanuel Quickley scored 11 for Toronto. Their balanced effort, combined with Ingram’s breakout performance, made the difference.

Cleveland Struggles to Keep Up

For Cleveland, Donovan Mitchell managed 17 points but struggled with efficiency, shooting 6 of 20 overall and 3 of 12 from beyond the arc.

Jaylon Tyson led other scorers with 15 points, while Evan Mobley and Nae’Qwan Tomlin each added 14. Lonzo Ball shot 3 of 15, finishing with eight points after missing 10 of 12 long-range attempts.

Ingram’s Third-Quarter Explosion

Ingram was unstoppable in the third quarter, scoring 15 points alone. His clutch 3-pointer with 1:20 left in the period pushed Toronto to their largest lead of 88-74.

Barnes praised Ingram after the game: “Give him the ball and get out the way,” highlighting Ingram’s dominance and confidence in a statement game.

Key Runs and Defensive Efforts

Toronto closed the first half with a 13-2 run, taking a 57-54 lead into the break. The Raptors’ defensive intensity helped limit Cleveland’s scoring opportunities throughout the game.

Barnes credited the team’s defense for maintaining momentum: stopping fast breaks, contesting shots, and controlling the boards proved crucial.

Raptors Manage Injuries

Toronto played without RJ Barrett, sidelined with a sprained right knee. He exited Sunday’s win over Brooklyn after landing awkwardly on a fast-break dunk. Tests showed no serious damage, according to coach Darko Rajakovic.

Jakob Poeltl returned after missing Sunday’s game due to a sore lower back, contributing 13 rebounds in the win.

Cavaliers Battle Injury Challenges

Cleveland faced multiple absences. Darius Garland (sore left big toe) and De’Andre Hunter (rest) sat out the second night of a back-to-back.

Jarrett Allen missed his third straight game with a sprained finger, joining six other injured teammates. These injuries left the Cavaliers shorthanded, impacting their performance.

What This Win Means

The victory reinforces Toronto’s strong form and depth, proving they can overcome injuries while maintaining a winning streak. Ingram’s breakout performance signals the Raptors’ offensive potential heading deeper into the season.

The team now focuses on maintaining momentum, managing injuries, and continuing their impressive streak against tough opponents in the Eastern Conference.
