As the January transfer window draws to a close on Thursday, football enthusiasts anticipate the possibility of witnessing a few more noteworthy player deals before the deadline. Among the headline-grabbing moves, Jadon Sancho's loan transfer from Manchester United to Borussia Dortmund stands out as one of the most significant, injecting intrigue into the midseason transfer landscape. However, this window has seen other captivating shifts, including Timo Werner's loan to Tottenham Hotspur and Jordan Henderson's surprising departure from Saudi Arabia's Al-Ettifaq to Ajax.

The women's football scene, too, has seen a marked increase in investment during this transfer window. Chelsea secured the services of Colombia's Mayra Ramirez from Levante for a transfer fee just shy of $490,000, with potential additional payments nearing $55,000 that could set a new record for the highest fee paid for a women's player. Noteworthy movements between the NWSL and the WSL include U.S. international Emily Fox joining Arsenal and Venezuela's Deyna Castellanos signing with the incoming NWSL side Bay FC.

In addition to the player movements, the transfer deadline details for major football leagues worldwide have been outlined:

- Premier League: The window closes on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m. ET (10 p.m. GMT).

- La Liga: The transfer window concludes on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m. ET (10 p.m. GMT).

- Serie A: The window shuts on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. ET (7 p.m. GMT).

- Bundesliga: The deadline is set for Thursday, Feb. 1, at 12 p.m. ET (5 p.m. GMT).

- Ligue 1: The window closes on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 5 p.m. ET (10 p.m. GMT).

- MLS: The transfer window deadline is on Tuesday, April 23.

- Saudi Pro League: The window concludes on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

- NWSL: Both the transfer and trade windows wrap up on Monday, April 22.

- Women's Super League: The transfer window shuts on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

As the countdown to the transfer window closure continues, football fans are on the lookout for any last-minute surprises that could add further excitement to this eventful midseason period.
