Julian Brown, a 21-year-old inventor known for creating a machine that turns plastic into fuel, worried many after posting a concerning video earlier this month. He claimed he was “under attack” but didn’t give further details.
His mother, Nia Brown, later confirmed that Julian is safe but refused to share more information for security reasons.
What Julian Invented
Julian developed a device he calls Plastoline. He says it can convert plastic waste into useful fuels like gasoline and diesel. This invention caught a lot of attention online.
He shared his journey and progress on social media, building a strong following of 1.8 million fans on Instagram.
Julian said he got the idea after seeing plastic pollution everywhere. Noticing that no one had a good solution, he decided to create his own.
He used welding skills he learned in high school to build his first working model.
Concerning Message Shared on Instagram
On July 9, Julian posted a video that worried many of his followers.
“I can’t go into too much detail, but there is some very, very odd stuff going on,” he said in the video. “I’m certainly under attack right now.”
In the caption, he wrote, “Keep me in your prayers please.”
Since then, he has not posted any updates, sparking concern across social media.
Police Not Investigating
Despite the alarming message, local police in Atlanta said they are not looking into any missing persons cases involving Julian Brown.
He lives in the metro Atlanta area, but authorities have no record of any reports related to his safety.
More About Julian’s Work
Julian runs a company called Nature Jab. He says he taught himself how to turn plastic into fuel over the last five years.
In a recent fundraiser, he shared that he once suffered second-degree burns in an explosion while working on his invention. He needed surgery to recover.
After that incident, Julian had to relocate his work site. He now drives four hours each time he wants to use his machine.
He said this long journey shows how serious he is about his project.
Raising Money to Continue
Julian started a GoFundMe campaign to improve his machine. So far, he has raised over $30,000.
He says the money will help him upgrade his invention and keep pushing forward, despite the challenges.
In his own words, “I’m still working, I’m still building. Nothing’s going to stop that.”
