Krispy Kreme is bringing a delightful surprise to doughnut lovers this Halloween season. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the beloved film "Ghostbusters," the famous doughnut chain has introduced a special Ghostbusters Collection featuring four unique doughnuts inspired by the original movie, which first graced theatres in June 1984.
Starting October 7, these themed treats will be available at participating Krispy Kreme locations for a limited time. The new collection pays tribute to the iconic film, starring comedy legends Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray. The excitement surrounding these creations is palpable, with Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's global chief brand officer, declaring, “Yes, it’s true, these treats are no trick. When it comes to Halloween this year, you know who to call.” He further highlighted the collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, saying, “Krispy Kreme is the gatekeeper to Halloween sweetness, and Sony Pictures Consumer Products is the key master at bringing spooky-sweet Ghostbusters doughnuts to our fans this year. You’re welcome, Gozer,” referring to the film's ancient villain.

The Ghostbusters Collection features four delectable doughnuts, each designed to capture the spirit of the movie. Customers can purchase them individually or opt for a limited-edition custom box that resembles the ghost traps used by the Ghostbusters in the film.

1. Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut: This treat starts with a chocolate iced Original Glazed doughnut, adorned with pieces of Oreo cookies, a creamy Oreo filling, and topped with a candy shaped like the famous No Ghost logo.
2. Slimer Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with tangy lemon-flavoured green filling, this doughnut is dipped in vibrant purple and green icing and features a Slimer candy on top, representing the movie's famous ghost character.
3. Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut: A twist on the classic Original Glazed doughnut, this version is dipped in bright orange icing and generously sprinkled with neon-coloured sprinkles, giving it a fun and festive look.
4. Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut Pull-Apart: This delightful treat consists of powdered Original Glazed Doughnut Dots topped with a marshmallow-flavored buttercream, and finished off with a candy shaped like the iconic Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

For those who want to share the excitement, three of the Ghostbusters doughnuts (excluding the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man doughnut) will also be available in a special six-pack box, ensuring that fans can enjoy a variety of flavours delivered fresh daily to select retailers.
