Krispy Kreme is making up for a disruption in its online services earlier this month, offering deals to celebrate the return of its online ordering system. The doughnut chain, which faced a cyberattack on December 11, causing problems with online orders in parts of the U.S., is now back on track and ready to ring in the New Year with exciting offers.
The cyberattack led to "unauthorized activity" on Krispy Kreme’s IT systems, which in turn caused operational disruptions, including issues with online ordering. However, after a few weeks of adjustments, Krispy Kreme is happy to announce that its online ordering service is fully restored, just in time for the New Year.

Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's chief brand officer, expressed the company’s appreciation for its customers’ patience. “As we close out 2024, we are so grateful for Krispy Kreme fans, including for their patience as we experienced problems with online ordering. Now that online ordering is 100 percent back, we’re saying ‘thanks’ with great online and offline deals to start the New Year right for all of us!” he said in a statement.

To show their gratitude and kick off the New Year with a sweet celebration, Krispy Kreme is offering a week of deals starting from December 30. These deals aim to bring back the joy of doughnuts for all their loyal fans who had to deal with the recent online ordering glitch.

Starting Monday, December 30, Krispy Kreme is offering a week of special deals to celebrate the restoration of its online ordering system, which was temporarily disrupted by a recent technical issue. USA TODAY

From December 30 to January 1, Krispy Kreme is offering free delivery on all orders with a minimum $5 purchase. This offer is available for both online and in-store orders, giving customers a convenient and affordable way to enjoy their favorite doughnuts.

Additionally, the company is introducing the New Year’s Double Dozen offer. For just $20.25, customers can get two dozen of their famous Original Glazed doughnuts or one dozen Original Glazed paired with either a Classic Assorted dozen or a specialty dozen. This deal is available in-store, at the drive-thru, and online for pickup or delivery. There is a limit of four per customer for this offer.

The deals continue into the first week of January with another great offer from January 3 to January 5. Customers can get a dozen Original Glazed or Classic Assorted doughnuts for just $12, available for in-store, drive-thru, or online orders for pickup or delivery. Again, there is a limit of four per guest for this deal.

These discounts come at a time when Krispy Kreme wants to ensure that their customers start the New Year on a sweet note. The company is hopeful that these offers will help bring back some holiday cheer after the technical issues earlier this month.

With a combination of free delivery, discounted dozen deals, and their famous doughnuts, Krispy Kreme is ready to make the end of 2024 and the start of 2025 even sweeter.
