Kristen Stewart showed off a different side of herself this week in Beverly Hills. The actress attended the Film Independent Presents event for a screening of The Chronology of Water at the Writers Guild Theater on October 28. The film marks her directorial debut — a project she also co-wrote and co-produced.
This time, Kristen traded her usual red-carpet glamour for a more relaxed look. She wore a cream-coloured printed shirt paired with bright red trousers and matching loafers. Her tousled hair, fresh face, and simple accessories gave off an easy, confident vibe. Fans praised her ability to look stylish without the extra sparkle.
From Glam to Chill in One Week
Just days earlier, Kristen turned heads in a striking burgundy lace dress at the AFI Fest 2025. The dress, sleek yet daring, hugged her frame and balanced elegance with edge. She paired it with sheer leggings and black heels, finishing the look with a messy bun and soft fringe — a perfect blend of grunge and glamour.
Joining her on the AFI red carpet was her wife, Dylan Meyer, who also produced the film. The couple, who began dating in 2019, married in April this year. Their appearance at the festival marked their first joint red carpet event since tying the knot. The two looked happy and relaxed, holding hands as cameras flashed.

Always Reinventing Her Style
Kristen has built a reputation for constantly reinventing her look. Whether she’s rocking short platinum hair, a punk-inspired undercut, or a bold new shade, she never stays the same for long. In July, she surprised fans again when she stepped out with bright neon hair while walking her dog with Dylan.
During an interview in 2023, Kristen shared how much her hair influences her attitude and energy. “I really like having long hair,” she said. “It’s such a character on your body. When I have long hair, I move differently. I wear different clothes. I might do everything differently.”
She also admitted to having a love-hate relationship with cutting her hair. After finishing Love Lies Bleeding, she said, “I was so addicted to cutting my hair. I couldn’t stop just, like, blunt fronting my bangs.”
A Busy Year Ahead
This year has been full of creative projects for Kristen. Alongside The Chronology of Water, she is set to star in The Wrong Girls, a thriller directed by her wife Dylan Meyer. She’s also attached to Flesh of the Gods, a horror epic, and The Challenger, a limited series where she may portray a NASA engineer.
With several major projects on the horizon, Kristen continues to show her range — both as an artist and a fashion icon. From daring red-carpet choices to casual, carefree looks, she keeps her audience guessing and always interested.
