Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa have come to an agreement in their divorce proceedings. Shortly after Bonet filed for divorce from the Aquaman actor, court documents obtained by ET confirm their mutual decision regarding the split.
As per the documents, the former couple has decided to share joint custody of their two children, Lola Iolani, aged 16, and Nakoa-Wolf, aged 15. They've also agreed on handling expenses related to the kids without the need for formal child support payments. Additionally, both Bonet and Momoa have waived any rights to spousal support, as indicated in the paperwork.
The documents outline that on July 9, both Bonet and Momoa will officially return to their single status.
Although Bonet and Momoa's relationship began in 2005, they didn't marry until 2017.
Bonet initiated the divorce proceedings, revealing through the documents obtained by ET that although the public announcement of their separation came in January 2022, their actual date of separation was October 7, 2020, coinciding with their three-year wedding anniversary.
In their joint statement issued in January 2022, Bonet and Momoa expressed a sentiment of continuing love, stating that their affection for each other would evolve as they individually grow. They emphasized their dedication to their children and the journey of self-discovery.
Despite the divorce, the pair has seemingly maintained an amicable relationship. Momoa mentioned in March 2022 during an interview with ET that he and Bonet still considered themselves a family. Furthermore, nine months later, he was seen delivering a Christmas tree to Bonet's residence, suggesting a continued cordial relationship between them.
