Canadians will soon see a familiar cookie take on a heroic new look. OREO has announced a special collaboration with Marvel, bringing the MARVEL OREO Stuf of Legends Cookies to stores nationwide starting February 2. The launch introduces a new way for fans of both brands to connect through food, storytelling, and collectible designs.

A New Chapter for a Classic Cookie

For decades, OREO has played a part in family moments and shared treats across Canada. With this new release, the cookie brand now turns its attention to Marvel fans. The collaboration blends the world of superheroes with the classic chocolate sandwich cookie, aiming to create an experience that goes beyond taste alone.

The companies designed the project for devoted fans who enjoy collecting, storytelling, and interactive fun. Instead of a single package design, the release includes three limited-edition cookie packs, each illustrated by Marvel Comics artist Todd Nauck. The artwork draws inspiration from comic book covers and well-known characters.

Superheroes Baked Into Every Pack

Inside the packages, fans will find 32 different cookie designs, each embossed with a character from Marvel’s universe. The lineup includes heroes and teams from the Avengers, Spider-Man, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four. According to the companies, this marks the highest number of unique cookie designs ever released in a single OREO product.

The cookies also include a new feature never before used by the brand. Each cookie contains a crème that changes color, adding an element of surprise as people take a bite. The feature encourages interaction and gives fans something new to discover with every cookie.

Brands Focus on Shared Experiences

Company leaders say the goal of the collaboration centers on connection and shared enjoyment.
"OREO cookies and Marvel superheroes both have the unique ability to bring people together, spark joy, and create meaningful moments for fans," said Peter Verlinden, Director Cookies, Mondelēz Canada. "This collaboration unites two iconic brands to create an immersive experience where fans become active participants connecting with their favorite Marvel characters through OREO. By blending the classic OREO cookie with Marvel's legendary universe, we're delivering a memorable pop culture moment for both brands."

The project aims to mirror how fans collect comics and merchandise, turning each pack into a small piece of a larger story.

Interactive Story Continues Online

Each of the three cookie packs plays a role in an ongoing Marvel-inspired storyline. Starting February 2, fans can scan a QR code found on the packages to unlock digital content and surprises connected to the story. The experience extends online, allowing fans to follow along and explore new elements as the campaign unfolds.

The companies say the release marks the first time they have worked together in this way, combining food, art, and digital interaction in one product.

A Treat With a Twist

With colorful designs, collectible cookies, and an interactive storyline, the MARVEL OREO Stuf of Legends Cookies aim to stand out on store shelves. The collaboration brings together two global brands in a way that invites Canadians to snack, explore, and share in a playful adventure.
