Millie Bobby Brown, widely known for her role in the hit series "Stranger Things," is set to tie the knot with Jake Bongiovi, with an unexpected twist in their wedding ceremony plans. Matthew Modine, who played her onscreen father in the series, revealed that he will officiate their wedding.

During an interview on "Access Hollywood," Modine, aged 64, shared the unique arrangement. He disclosed that Brown and Bongiovi approached him with the idea, which he gladly embraced. Reflecting on the experience, Modine, who has been married to actress Caridad Rivera for 44 years, expressed the beauty of uniting two people in marriage.

This won't be Modine's first time officiating a wedding. He disclosed having conducted another ceremony during the pandemic in upstate New York, albeit describing it as an unusual experience.

Modine's connection with Brown extends beyond the screen. He has expressed a sense of protectiveness towards her, given the potential challenges young actors face in the industry. Their bond dates back to the first season of "Stranger Things," where Modine felt a responsibility to ensure Brown's well-being amidst the pressures of fame.

While details about Brown and Bongiovi's wedding date remain undisclosed, Brown humorously hinted at emulating her character Eleven by shaving her head for the occasion. Additionally, she playfully mentioned Modine officiating their nuptials in an interview with MTV.

In jest, Brown suggested her co-star Noah Schnapp as a potential ring bearer. Representatives for Brown and Schnapp have not yet responded to requests for comment.

Brown and Bongiovi's relationship blossomed in 2021, culminating in a memorable proposal underwater during a diving excursion. Brown recounted the nerve-wracking moment when the ring slipped off her finger, only to be miraculously saved by Bongiovi's swift action.

Expressing her admiration for Bongiovi's character, Brown emphasized their mutual support for each other, epitomizing a deep bond.

As fans anticipate the forthcoming wedding, they can also look forward to the fifth and final season of "Stranger Things," currently in production and scheduled for release on Netflix in 2025.
