The Snack Wrap, discontinued in 2016, is set to make a comeback in 2025. McDonald’s

McDonald's fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the iconic Snack Wrap, which was discontinued in 2016. The fast-food giant stirred excitement last month with a cryptic social media post, announcing that the popular item will be back on the menu sometime in 2025. This announcement has sparked a frenzy among fans, who have been anxiously waiting for the return of the beloved snack.
The Snack Wrap, first introduced in 2006, consists of chicken, lettuce, and cheese wrapped in a warm tortilla. It quickly became a fan favorite, but was removed from McDonald's menu in 2016. The decision to discontinue it was met with disappointment, with many customers voicing their frustration online. The main reason for the removal was the item’s lengthy preparation time, which McDonald’s executives believed slowed down service.

Since its departure, fans have been vocal about their desire to bring it back. Numerous online petitions have been launched to revive the Snack Wrap, with one petition in 2021 gathering over 17,000 signatures. Joe Erlinger, the president of McDonald’s USA, even acknowledged in an interview that he received numerous emails from disappointed fans, expressing their strong desire for the return of the Snack Wrap. Some even described the decision to discontinue it as "foolish," calling the Snack Wrap the best item on the menu.

The announcement of the Snack Wrap’s return has caused a wave of excitement among McDonald's loyal customers. Many fans have taken to social media to express their joy and anticipation for its comeback. One fan even tweeted, “What am I most excited for 2025? McDonald’s finally bringing back the Snack Wrap!” Another chimed in, saying, “The date cannot come soon enough, I miss devouring the Snack Wrap.”

While fans are excited, there has been some pressure to release the Snack Wrap earlier than planned. Some diners have been demanding its return as early as January 1st, 2025, posting comments like, “Snack wrap needs to be out January 1st,” showing how eagerly they are waiting for this item. McDonald’s has yet to officially respond to these demands and has kept the release date a mystery, leaving fans to eagerly count down the days.

In the meantime, McDonald’s has also been updating its menu with new options, including a $5 meal deal, which features a choice of McChicken, McDouble, or a four-piece chicken nugget meal, complete with fries and a drink. Fans can enjoy these budget-friendly options while they wait for the return of the Snack Wrap.

The return of the Snack Wrap is expected to be one of the most exciting fast-food events of 2025. With its simple yet satisfying combination of ingredients, it’s clear why McDonald’s customers are so eager for its comeback. As the countdown continues, fans can only hope that the Snack Wrap lives up to the hype when it finally returns to the menu.
